The UAE has revised its Paris Agreement emissions pledge, with the host of the upcoming COP28 UN climate summit setting an absolute GHG cut goal for the first time. It plans to increase its target from 31% to 40% by 2030. It has also highlighted plans to introduce an emissions trading mechanism.
