India has officially withdrawn its offer to host COP33 in 2028. It is not clear why the country has pulled out of hosting the conference, but according to Climate Home News, India withdrew its bid after a “review of its commitments” in 2028, citing a letter written by an Indian official to the chair of the Asia-Pacific Group.
