In an analysis of the implications of the expansion of BRICS, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies has suggested that the group will seek to strengthen critical energy supplies for itself and 13 of its allies. It will also seek to increase public and private investments in critical minerals supply chains among allies. They argue that a larger BRICS may also see an increase in investments in projects and places that non-partner countries would avoid.
