The UNFCCC Secretariat published its 2025 NDC synthesis report in October 2025. The report covers information from the NDCs recorded in the NDC registry between January 2024 and September 2025. Its key finding shows that, based on 86 NDCs submitted by 113 Parties, total global emissions in 2035 are projected to be around 12% below 2019 levels. This stands in comparison to a projected emissions increase of between 20% and 48% for 2035, before the adoption of the Paris Agreement.
