Following a last-minute compromise, countries were able to agree on guidance to refine the list of indicators to measure progress toward the Global Goal on Adaptation during the Bonn climate talks last week. Integral to the compromise was inclusion of a reference to “indicators for means of implementation to measure: access, quality, and adaptation finance, including provision,” a key priority for African countries to close the widening adaptation finance gap.
