In a second letter to UNFCCC parties, the COP Presidencies Troika has called on early movers submitting their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to keep the 1.5°C target within reach. The letter also calls for greater international cooperation and mobilisation. The Troika calls for parties to step up the work for the next round of NDCs with the COP28 host UAE, COP29 host Azerbaijan, and the 2024 G20 Summit host Brazil lauded for demonstrating their commitment to a sustainable and resilient world.
