Energy Transition Investment Trends is BNEF’s annual accounting of global investment in the low-carbon energy transition. It finds that global investment in the low-carbon energy transition totalled $1.1 trillion in 2022. It also found that China was the top investor in energy transition investments, such as renewable energy and energy storage, accounting for $546 billion. Other countries paled in comparison with the US coming in second at $141 billion and Germany at $55 billion.
