Australia to export tariff free critical minerals to Australia

Australia and the European Union signed a trade deal that removes tariffs for almost all European goods and for nearly all exports of Australian critical minerals. The trade deal comes after eight years of talks, with Australia’s Prime Minister Albanese and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen both describing the agreement as a mutual “win-win.” The two countries also agreed to increase co-operation on defence and critical minerals.
