Budget Cuts Could Reduce Aid to Africa by 30%

Recent foreign aid cuts mean that global aid could contract by as much as 30%. This signals a policy reversal, as data from Donor Tracker shows that official development assistance was on an upward trajectory between 2019 and 2023. Increased development aid increases from countries including Japan, South Korea and Italy, will not be able to cover losses.
