Pact for the Future concluded at UNGA

At the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly held in September, world leaders adopted a Pact for the Future. It calls for progress on financing for sustainable development, securing global peace and security and meaningful engagement with the youth. The Pact is one of the three outcomes of the Summit of the Future, which aimed to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and ensure the success of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The other two adopted outcomes are a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations.
